The Ultimate 'Get Happy' Hack

What a fitting time that we are in to talk about the ultimate happiness hack.

Simple to say it's gratitude.

Not only does gratitude make us realize all the amazing things we have, but it actually is proven to make us happier as well…

It’s Ellen here, and I just wanted to point out that with Thanksgiving here and with everyone in the Holiday spirit, we can sustain these happy feelings/jolly spirit, by doing one thing simple thing everyday - expressing gratitude.

There are sooo many ways to do this...

But today I'm going to be sharing with you the easiest most effective way to do this to set your mind up to be in an energetic state of abundance and gratitude everyday.

Happy Prime Time

So you may have probably heard of this before or not, but being in a state of gratitude literally chemically is proven to make you happier and release happy hormones in your brain. No, I'm not kidding.

Expressing gratitude is a foolproof way to transform your energy if your feeling in a low state or just had a rough day. Usually we are always in a rush with our day to day lives, that we don't stop to realize how lucky we truly we are with everything we have.

So you may be thinking, "Okay Ellen, how do I actually do this?"

This is where we go into, what I call "Happy Prime Time."

Essentially this method is to set your mind up for success in the morning, which is the prime time for your mind to start the day on a great note.

No more waking up in a bad mood and letting that bad mood stick with you and dictate the rest of your day.

The morning is everyone's 'Happy Prime Time.' In order to take advantage of this transformational state, before you open your phone to go on social media, or check your email and start consuming outside information the very FIRST thing you need to do when waking up is use the bathroom (duh) but then take out a journal and pen, and write 3 things you are grateful for.

That's it.

It can look something like this...

"Today I am grateful for..."

- The comfortable bed I get to sleep in to recover and rest.

- My amazing healthy body.

- The natural lighting I get in my room when I first wake up.

This is an example of the simplest quickest way to express your gratitude for everything you have.

It takes less than 5 minutes to do in the morning, so even if your running late you can still squeeze in the time to express your gratitude.

This simple action literally sets your day up for success, not kidding. Once you implement this habit you will realize over time how much happier you actually are.

I challenge you reading this to do this 7 days straight every morning, and see how you will feel. :)

Happiness is a state of mind, thoughts lead to feelings, and feelings lead to actions. So setting your mind up first thing in the morning to be in a happy state can really help positively influence the rest of the day.

There you have it friends, this is the ultimate "get happy" mindset hack, gratitude. Its so simple that most people tend to overlook it, but I'm telling you this is sooo transformational!

I truly hope you implement this into your routine, and stick with it!
