This Low-Carb, High Protein Dessert Will Cure That Sweet Tooth (Vegan, Gluten Free)

Updated: Aug 10, 2020

Hi all I'm Ellen, and I just wanted to share this dessert recipe that I eat every night after dinner. Literally. I crave it everyday, I might actually be addicted haha it never gets boring.

Its easy to whip up, macro friendly, and tastes like heaven. What more could you ask for??

Its great for anyone, if you're trying out a new healthy diet and want to cure that sweet tooth, this is for you. If you just love to eat real whole nutrient dense foods, this is for you. Even if you just want to change up your dessert repertoire, this is for you haha. Moral of the story is Im certain anyone will love this. Lets just say its true brain food. (See what I did there haha)

First, lets set the scene...

Its 8:30pm, a little over an hour since you had your last meal, your brain is sending signals altering you its in a desperate need of some sugar love. All you can think about is that smooth creamy ice cream that you have in the freezer, but you dont want to eat all those refined sugars and chemicals, you dont know what else you can do... This is where I come in. :)

So for this recipe you only need 3 ingredients. YUP, only 3 ingredients!! Its probably an even better version of that ice cream you have in your freezer (without all that added sugars and chemicals of course. :)

Its Low carb, High Protein, Vegan, Gluten free, and even Paleo!!!

What you will need:

- KiteHill Unsweetened Vanilla Vegan Greek Style Yogurt (You can use any greek yogurt, only greek!!!)

- 1 Scoop Nuzest Vanilla Protein Powder (you can use any protein powder of your choice)

- Optional Sweetener of choice: Honey, Maple Syrup, Coconut Sugar, etc

So first all you have to do is mix all of these ingredients in a single serve bowl thoroughly.

Then place in the freezer for about 15-20 minutes, for it to get slightly chilled and even more creamy! Yum!

Once your 'ice cream' has chilled, this is where the fun part comes in... TOPPINGS.

I love to switch up the toppings I use pretty much every time I eat this. My fav combo would be

- Sliced Almonds

- Cacao Nibs

- Chocolate Chips

- Coconut Flakes

- Goji Berries

You can use any toppings you like, whatever you crave works haha :) I highly recommend the toppings, this is what really brings it all together!

Vegan ice cream recipe. High protein, low carb and paleo!!

I hope you enjoy this sweet treat as much as I do, I look forward to eating this every night, and I promise you soon will too :)
